Coastal Via Ferrata in Costa Brava

San Feliu has the only Via Ferrata (Iron Path) above the sea in Europe. It consists of a cable along the cliffs above the sea, with 5 suspension bridges and will take you along an adrenaline inducing, breathtaking route with amazing views.

You will be climbing up between 0 and 25 metres, with a total of 580 metres of cabled route. We will provide you with transport, lunch and all equipment. All you need is sports shoes and comfortable, tight clothes. Climbing experience is not required, there are three different level routes, from beginner (required is a basic level of fitness) to experienced. Our guides will guide you along the route step by step. The whole route takes between 1,5 to 3,5 hours, depending on how busy the route is and on the level of fitness of the group.

Daily pick-ups at 9 AM and 12 o’clock, you will be back in the city around 18.30. Lunch is included, so all you need to bring is comfortable shoes, tight clothes and bikini / board shorts to have a refreshing swim after your climb.

How to book: You can book on the website by paying a €20 deposit and the rest upon arrival at the meeting point or you can pay in full in advance. If you have any questions you can call Tim at +34 610674669. We are booked out often, so don’t leave it till the last minute!

Meeting point: We leave at 09.00 AM from Passeig de Colom 7, right in front of a little bar called Kulas.

Where we go: We leave Barcelona and drive a little over an hour to a small town called Sant Feliu / Arago.

Our lunch:  Our lunch consists of a sandwich, snack and a water to keep up your energy during the climb. If you are a vegetarian, please mention this when booking so we can bring you a vegetarian sandwich. The non vegetarian sandwiches have ham and cheese and a selection of tomato, lettuce and cucumber.

Our guides: Our guides are passionate climbers and mountaineers who have years of experience guiding climbing and canyoning. They are trained in safety and enjoy creating the best possible day. Try them, they are all to happy to talk about their passion.

Not kayaking: If you’re not climbing but you still want to join the trip, be our guest! You can spend the day at the beach or exploring the town until the group comes back. For €35 you can still experience the Costa Brava without climbing.

Group size: There will be at least one guide per 8 climbers. If your group is bigger, you will have more guides but your group can still stay together.

Cancellation: We really value safety, so when the weather conditions are unsafe we will have to cancel the climbing tour. This happens occasionally. We will notify you as soon as possible by phone or in person and return the deposits. If you want to cancel, you can do so up till 48 hours before the tour and get your deposit returned to you.
